You are 14! 14!!!! That's, like, old, right?

And on your birthday, I want you to know that I love you for a gajillion different reasons (that's a lot)

There is a softness about you (that maybe you try to hide, but I can still see it sometimes)

You have beautiful eyes and an awesome (real) smile

You got me hooked on "Cops"

Your fascination with history and biographies

The way little kids just naturally love you and flock to you immediately

We have been working on growing up together for a while now:)

You changed my name to Mommy forever

How you dig "old" (translation: '80's and '90's) music

I get compliments all of the time about how polite you are out in public

Your funny observations

Sometimes when I get annoyed a certain things you do, I realize a lot of it is that you are SO much like me

You are my right hand man (sometimes begrudgingly, but you always are)

I'm excited to know the grown up version of you (but not too quickly)
